Returning to regular postings had an uplifting effect, doubling traffic and bringing our pageviews back to 26 million, equivalent to our pre-hiatus statistics. Hand-in-hand with the renewed publishing vigor, this year brought about significant contributions and quality content that kept our community robust and informed.
A Year of Resurgence and Growth
Resuming content from zero in 2023, CSS-Tricks made striking strides by publishing 153 engaging articles since the site restarted in June. Our dedicated, albeit small, team of writers alongside 19 guest authors helped achieve this feat, proving that dedication triumphs over quantity as shown by the depth and quality of each article.
Among our proudest accomplishments are the three comprehensive guides published within just six months, expanding knowledge on CSS Anchor Positioning, CSS Length Units, and CSS Selectors. These guides reflect our commitment to producing exceptional educational content, easily accessible to all who are keen to learn about the intricacies of CSS.
Major Updates and Innovations
The year was largely spent refining CSS-Tricks' backbone, including refreshing the CSS Almanac. Once limited to selectors and properties, the Almanac now encompasses a broader scope from at-rules to pseudos. This expansion opens up new avenues for exploration and learning, making it a richer resource for our readers.
Alongside, an exciting update is our improved Table of Contents, now featuring automatically generated anchor links for seamless navigation. The upgrades ensure that CSS-Tricks remains at the forefront of design content, delivering easily accessible information in innovative ways.
